I am so excited to share this dreamy Sabino Canyon wedding in Tucson, Arizona! When Kati reached out to me, I was beyond excited—not only because I love desert weddings (truly, there’s something so magical about a desert wedding!), but also because my sister lives in Tucson, so I’m always looking for an excuse to visit! And the timing was perfect. Just as Montana’s cold weather was setting in, I had the chance to escape to the warmth of the Arizona desert for this incredible fall wedding.
Kati and David are two of the kindest, most genuine people I have ever met. Their love for each other, their friends, and their family was evident in every moment of their special day. I seriously was just blown away by their sincere kindness. We started the morning at their home, where Kati and her bridesmaids were getting ready. Their property backs up to the beautiful desert mountains of the Oro Valley, which was the perfect backdrop for getting ready photos.
From there, we headed to St. Anne’s Chapel and Ranch for their ceremony. This intimate chapel is nestled among stunning mountain views, making it such a great spot for intimate weddings. Before the ceremony, we took some portraits, and I couldn’t get enough of the bridesmaids’ gorgeous green dresses!
Kati and David really wanted to drive over to Sabino Canyon for their portraits together. We were tight on time, as the sun was setting quickly after their ceremony, but we made it happen! And it was SO worth the effort to get there! Sabino Canyon provided the most stunning backdrop, with its glowing sunset, iconic cacti, and easy access from the parking lot, making it a dream location for wedding portraits.
Once we returned to St. Anne’s, the celebration continued under the glow of cozy string lights. Guests enjoyed a yummy Chipotle dinner, heartfelt toasts, and, of course, cake! The evening wrapped up with lots of dancing and laughter on the dance floor.
If you’re considering a wedding in Tucson, Sabino Canyon is a perfect choice. Nestled in the Santa Catalina Mountains, this stunning desert oasis offers incredible scenery with its towering saguaros, rugged rock formations, and sweeping desert views. The canyon’s golden hour lighting is unmatched! It’s the perfect setting for golden hour portraits.
Sabino Canyon is also easily accessible, making it convenient for guests. Whether you’re planning an intimate elopement or using the canyon for stunning post-ceremony portraits, the natural surroundings provide a unique and breathtaking backdrop. The combination of convenience, accessibility, and desert landscapes makes Sabino Canyon a perfect setting for couples looking to get married in an iconic desert place!
Kati and David’s Sabino Canyon wedding was truly a joy to capture. From the heartfelt ceremony to the dreamy desert portraits, every moment was filled with so much love and beauty! If you’re considering a Tucson wedding, Sabino Canyon is an incredible choice! And if you’re looking for a photographer for your Arizona wedding, I would love to chat with you here!
