Whitefish Lake is truly one of the most beautiful spots in the Flathead Valley, and it makes the perfect backdrop for family photos! I’m so excited to share this sweet summer family session with some of our dearest friends! Justin and Grace made the big move from Georgia to Montana with us, and it’s been such a special journey to walk through this season of life side by side. They are more like family than friends to us and I am so thankful to have them in our lives!
Last summer, I wanted to do a little session for them to remember this sweet season of life in Montana. We started the session at their cozy home in downtown Whitefish, capturing photos that reflect their day to day life with sweet little Moses. We let Moses roam around the yard and just be his adorable, curious self. He played on his bike, read books, and checked out a few awesome rocks along the way. 😉 Those kinds of candid, playful moments are always some of my favorites to photograph!
After some time at their home, we headed to Whitefish Lake, a spot that they frequent often as a family! Even though the beach at Whitefish Lake was packed that day, we little found pockets of emptiness to shoot in—and with a little creative framing (and the magic of Photoshop), we were able to make it feel like we had the place to ourselves. The warm light and the soft ripples on the water created the best atmosphere for this session!
If you’re thinking about booking Whitefish Lake family photos, this is your sign! Whether you’re a local or visiting the Flathead Valley, it’s a stunning place to document your story. I’d love to help you capture some magic! You can check out more of my work on the blog, or connect with me here!
