The Fleishour Family

These laid-back Atlanta family photos might just be some of my favorites ever. The Fleishour family holds such a special place in my heart! I first met them when Abigail was pregnant with their first baby, and they made the trip down to Atlanta to have a maternity session with me over 5 years ago. Since then, I’ve had the honor of documenting their growing family over the years!

For a while, it worked out perfectly. I’d travel up to Nashville, where they live, and we’d plan sessions around my visits. But after I moved to Montana, I wasn’t sure when I’d have the chance to photograph them again, as I rarely make it over to Nashville!

But one day last summer, Abigail reached out to see if I’d be in Atlanta anytime soon. I happened to have a wedding scheduled there in the fall, and we quickly made plans to capture their family during that same trip.

They made the drive from Nashville to Atlanta and back in one day…with three kids! If that’s not dedication, I don’t know what is (Abigail, you are a saint!)! We chose one of my favorite fields in the area, with wide open spaces for the kids to roam free. When we arrived, it started to rain and, honestly, we all panicked a little. This was my last day in town, and we had no other option. Thankfully, the rain passed, leaving us with the most dreamy, misty light and a slightly moody atmosphere that ended up being absolutely perfect for photos!

Since our last session, Abigail and Nick had added two more little ones to their crew, and seeing how their family has grown was such a joy. We spent the afternoon running through the open field, letting the kids play, capturing all the sweet moments that naturally unfolded.

Rain and all, these field family photos in Atlanta turned out to be one of my favorite afternoons with one of my favorite families.
