Emma and Kenny’s Copper Rose Ranch wedding weekend was a one of those weddings in your career that stays with you forever! They’re originally from Georgia, just like me, and even though we had a surprising number of mutual friends, our paths never crossed back then. It felt like our lives should have intersected back in Georgia so many times but never did! Somehow, Montana was the place that brought us together and it felt like fate (in the least cheesy way possible)
The weekend kicked off with a rehearsal brunch at Bodhi Farms in Bozeman, held inside the coolest yurt on a sunny Fall Montana day. Picture cozy vibes, coffee in hand, breakfast, heartfelt toasts, and a liturgy reading that set such a meaningful tone for the days ahead. And then Emma surprised everyone (especially her mom) by wearing an altered version of her mom’s wedding dress.
The wedding day morning started in Emma’s getting-ready Airbnb, which was hands down one of the most beautiful spaces I’ve ever photographed! Every corner was filled with the most intentional design and I honestly could have kept taking photos there all day! It was the perfect start to the day. In true Montana fashion, we ended up having some crazy weather roll in. High winds and rain. Not exactly what you want on your wedding day, but Emma and Kenny had such beautiful mindset the entire time. They were so relaxed and just full of joy to be getting married! The rain paused just long enough for portraits (a small miracle), and the ceremony was moved indoors, creating a warm, intimate setting that felt incredibly fitting for them.
One of my favorite parts of this Copper Rose Ranch wedding was how thoughtfully everything was planned. Emma is an interior designer, and her eye for detail showed in the most effortless way. She blended the rugged beauty of the Montana mountains with soft, elegant touches that made the entire day feel elevated but never stuffy. Every detail was portrayed in really meaningful (and fun!) ways. Her grandmother’s silver china made the trip all the way from Georgia and was used throughout the day. Boiled peanuts paid homage to their Southern roots, while kimchi honored Kenny’s Korean heritage. Guests rocked temporary tattoos, and late-night Taco Bell was served on a silver platter (iconic, honestly). It was the perfect mix of playful, personal, and unforgettable.
More than anything, Emma and Kenny are just genuinely amazing people. The kind who make everyone around them feel comfortable and cared for. Their wedding weekend was filled with laughter, happy tears, and so much joy! I’m pretty sure I cried at least ten times, just because of how incredible they are and how meaningful every moment felt. It honestly felt like I was watching two of my best friends get married, even though I had just met them that weekend!
Their Copper Rose Ranch wedding was a beautiful reminder that the best wedding days aren’t about perfection…they’re about intention, fun, and being fully present with the people you love. And late night Taco Bell doesn’t hurt either! 😉
If you’re dreaming of a wedding that blends Montana’s beauty with a touch of elegance, a Copper Rose Ranch wedding is such an incredible place to bring that vision to life. Emma and Kenny showed just how magical it can be when you embrace the day as it unfolds!
