John and Caitie’s Stay Treetops elopement was the perfect start to my 2025 season! Caitie and John actually planned their elopement pretty quickly. They reached out to me in May, and by mid-June, we were getting them married! Caitie is an incredible Montana photographer herself (check out her work here), so it was such an honor to capture her day.
They started their elopement day at Stay Treetops, the cutest A frame cabins right outside of Glacier National Park. They are secluded, unique and so close to the park! The cabins feel completely secluded while still being incredibly convenient, making them such a hidden gem for elopements. Caitie had her hair and makeup done by the incredible Glacier Beauty Co, and then headed back to the cabin to spend some time getting ready in the cabin, while snacking on their custom charcuterie board by Graze MT(also can we talk about how amazing Caitie’s shoes were?!) before we had the most precious first look right outside.
One of the most special parts of the day? Their two golden retrievers, who are basically celebrities in their own right (they even have their own Instagram!). The pups were fully included from the start, wearing floral wreaths from Bison Floral. And yes, they repeatedly tried to eat the flowers, which was as hilarious and adorable as it sounds.
After getting ready, we loaded up and headed toward East Glacier. Since this was early June, Going-to-the-Sun Road wasn’t fully open yet, so we spent the day on the east side of the park, which, honestly, is my favorite. It’s quieter, more open, and absolutely breathtaking!
John and Caitie exchanged vows at the 1913 Ranger Station, surrounded by wide open fields and snowcapped mountain views. From there, we headed to St. Mary’s Amphitheater, one of the few places in Glacier where dogs are allowed…and the prettiest amphitheater in the park! Including their dogs here was so important, since they play such a huge role in their everyday life!
We wrapped up the day exploring more of the east side and ended at the iconic Sun Point. As the sun set and the wind picked up, it got chilly fast, but John and Caitie embraced the elements with such a positive attitude! We ended the day with a celebratory champagne toast and a much needed shoe change for Caitie’s tired feet haha!

Stay treetops is the perfect getting ready location for your Glacier National Park elopement! They also offer the property for small elopement ceremonies as well. I love this spot because the cabins are private and so beautifully designed. Being just minutes from the park means less driving and more time actually enjoying your day. It’s calm, cozy, and feels like a retreat, which sets the tone for a relaxed and intentional elopement from the very beginning.
These cabins are close to all the major towns in the area, have easy access to Glacier, and are just a short drive from the airport. So if you are looking for a unique location for your Glacier National Park elopement, Stay Treetops is a great one to consider!
