An Early September Engagement at Big Bend in Glacier National Park

If you’re dreaming of a Big Bend Glacier National Park engagement, Lindsey and Joe’s early September session is such a good example of how special it can be!

We met up just a few days before their Whitefish wedding, and it was the perfect way to ease into their wedding week. Since they were traveling in from out of state, we hadn’t met in person yet, but Lindsey knew she wanted some time to get comfortable in front of the camera before the big day. Planning their session for right before the wedding when they got into town gave us a chance to get to know one another before the big day! Having an engagement session beforehand  makes such a difference walking into the wedding day already feeling familiar with each other.

Their session took place on an early September day and honestly,  we had some of the best light I’ve ever seen at Big Bend in Glacier National Park!  Everything was soft and golden, aka a dreeeeam! It was also abnormally warm for that time of year, which I’ll take any day!

Lindsey’s red shoes were one of my favorite details. Such a fun, bold choice that added so much personality! I’m always here for a good pop of color.

I photographed their session on both digital and film, which is always my favorite combination! There’s just something about film that feels timeless and nostalgic in a way that’s hard to replicate.. Their film scans turned out even better than I imagined!

This Big Bend Glacier National Park engagement session was the best start to their wedding week…laid-back, fun, and easy. It gave us the chance to get to know one another, have fun, and get everyone comfortable before the big day! I left that evening feeling so excited for their wedding day and truly grateful to document this season of their lives.
